Edmonton to host 2012 World Cup of Women's Baseball

The Women's 2012 World Baseball Cup in Edmonton, originally announced over a year ago will go ahead as government funding has come through. Both the federal and provincial government are each chipping in $100,000, to go with the $160,000 already committed by the City of Edmonton.  8 countries will be participating in this event in August of 2012.   More information on the funding here.
